I could access KVM NAT IP in the past when downloading kvm.zip from UCSM 2.x (java based) but now with UCSM 4.x I cannot. When I browse using KVM direct WEB page, it failed when using NAT IP. Is there any workaround or solution to this? thank you

I knew the standard console KVM but it does NOT work for NAT IP. In the past I can download KVM java script and run it to open KVM console using NAT IP.

Hi @robin99 ,
Excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "KVM NAT IP"?
UCS Manager allocated IP addresses from a pool for CIMC/KVM access. When you access the KVM console (either Java based or HTML 5 based), a session is established between your device and the CIMC/KVM address. No NAT involved.
If accessing the KVM console via Intersight - then that is a totally different story.
So tell me a bit more about where NAT fits into your scenario.

Hi, The UCS environment is in client network (for example IP 10.1.1.1 as blade KVM) and the management desktop sits outside where it can only reach the blade KVM IP by using NAT IP ie: 4.1.2.3. there is a NAT router/ firewall in between them.

Hi @robin99 ,
Sounds like a routing/NAT problem - independent of the UCS. However, I haven't analysed how the KVM protocol works to see if IP addresses or port numbers are exchanged end-to-end, but can't imagine they are.
I'd start by double checking that the KVM IP has been configured with the correct default gateway.
Not sure how soon I can get a chance to lab this - hopefully someone else (@Robert Burns) may be able to shed light on this in the meantime.

thanks for your reply. I can confirm that NAT is fine (one to one static IP) which worked in the past when using UCSM2.x KVM JAVA. The old kvm script was downloaded from UCSM 2.x cluster ip https://x.x.x.x/kvm.zip. This URL is no longer valid for new UCSM.

Can we start with the exact UCSM version you're using?
