We replace be6k disk because we found to be defective. the status po new replacement unconfigure good. Do we need to do configuration for new replacement?

Assuming the failed disk was part of a VD/raid volume, the raid controller 'should' auto use the disk to rebuild, assuming the disk is equal or larger capacity and type.
I have seen a few instances, where you had to mark the replacement 'unconfigured good' disk as a 'hot spare' before the raid volume would use it to rebuild/repair the raid volume.
