i am getting error upgrading server firmware

2.2(5) to 3.2(1)

sys/chassis-1/blade-5(FSM:sam:dme:ComputePhysicalAssociate). Remote-Invocation-Error: BIOS Update Failed: Unable to flash new BIOS Image

any idea?

This can be a number of things. Make sure all devices are all functionally up and discovered by UCS manager.

Which blade model ? 

Is this happening on all blades or only one ?

If these are M2 blades then please check out this defect and try applying the 2nd workaround:

if creating a custom host firmware package with BIOS excluded fails to work! we would need to review logs to understand whats going on here.
