C240 doesn't boot after software update.

Hi,

I have a c240 m3. I recently updated the firmware and software, and it seemed to work fine for a while. I was even getting the CIMC to come up, however, after a recent reboot, I am no longer able to access the bios (F2) or boot menu (F6) without the server automatically rebooting. F7 says its looking for vitual media from CIMC but it also makes the server reboot after a while, and F8 and just leaving the server to boot displays a flashing _. I haven't tried much further as I don't really know where to go from here.

Please let me know.

Best,

Marton

How were you certain that the CIMC firmware update was successful?
CIMC firmware takes about 55 to 75 minutes. During those times, the CIMC IP address will "drop off" twice.

Is anyone on the cisco side going to respond with something useful.  I'm seeing this in practically every firmware upgrade I'm doing yet, sadly, many of my M4s are out of support. I have a 240m4 ran it twice and still the same, I've ran it on others remotely and with an external CD-ROM and the same outcome. It will not exit and does not take the new settings on reboot. As for time mine all take close to an hour. This is the norm yet, not normal. Also would like to pose the issue of upgrade path. I'm going from 2-4 although I've done 2-3 and 3-4 with 3-4 being unsuccessful.
