Hi,

I wonder if ( UCSC-C220-M4L ) accepts four SSD HDD of the model ( UCS-SD400G0KS2-EP )

Can anyone provide a matrix or personal experience.

I know this SSD model works fine with Blade (B200) servers, but how about RACK servers?

Hi,

That PID is here http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/C220M3_SFF_SpecSheet.pdf ; so yes, it is supported.

Just go to the link above and click on "SELECT HARD DISK DRIVES (HDDs) or SOLID STATE DRIVES (SSDs)" in page 2 and that will take you to Table 10 on page 29.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks a lot.

So basically the 220 M3 is similar to the 220 M4L and can hold the same number of SSDs (four) right?

It looks like not all support the same quantity...

I think I'm still confused, as the M4L configuration (on the CCW configurator) doesn't show any 2.5" options for HDDs and shows 4 fillers for 3.5" when I don't select any HDDs.

I'm concerned this particular server doesn't have 2.5" slots. I don't seems to be able to find documents that clearly says M4L model on Cisco site!

Ok, I think I found the point.

The M4L is not compatible with the SSD I've mentioned, instead the M4S should be :)

Let me know if you still have doubts, I think I gave you the spec date sheet for the M3s and not the M4s
