Hello All,
I'm deploying a new UCS C210 Server, but we are facing some problems:
1- When connecting a monitor to it the monitor do not show anything, like the server is power off
2- With the server off, i can access the cimc, but after i power on i lose acess to CIMC and the it stops responding to ping.
3- The server makes a lot of more noise than the other UCS C210 we have.
Anyone faced this? I'm starting to think that is a hardware problem.
Thanks,
Rafael

If there's a HW issue with the CIMC it will likely need to be replaced.
Please open a TAC case as a next step.

Try connecting to just the CIMC (disconnect local monitor & keyboard) you should have access to the system during both power-off & powered on stage.
If you can't get to the CIMC via network (browser) as its powered up, disconnect the CIMC connection in the back and then connect your local monitor, keyboard & mouse and see if the IP settings are correct.

Robert,
I cannot use a local monitor, it does not shoes anything, like the monitor is not connected.
I can connect to cimc if the server is off, via browser. The ip configuration is correct.

Hard power off the server (remove power cables for 30sec)
This will reset the CIMC and "may" correct your access issue.
Let me know the result.

We done that several times.
No luck!
Any thoughts?

Just did that.
I was hoping that could be a configuration issue.
Thanks

When the server is powered off, you say that you can access the CIMC. In prep of the TAC response you may want to try and SSH to the CIMC and run a show tech.
SSH to CIMC IP
scope cimc
scope tech-support
set tftp-ip x.x.x.x
set path \remotepath (if applicable)
commit
start
Having this ready will expedite the process and might give us some insight as to the issue.

Robert
