Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to monitor a SPAN session that's been setup on a Cisco MDS, via a Fabric interconnect. So for example, setup the span session on the Cisco MDS, connect the FC Span port from the MDS to a Fabric Interconnect, then create a SAN traffic monitoring session on the Fabric Interconnect, essentially monitoring traffic from anything coming from the MDS Span port, via the Fabric Interconnect.
Does this make sense?

Hello Alex,
FI's FC port cannot be configured as destination port for the traffic sourced from MDS switch.

All traffic sources must be located within the same switch as the destination port.
