Capability Catalog in Cisco UCS Manager 2.2(1b)

Customer is running UCS manager 2.2(1b), we installed new blades in the existing chassis, we are getting RAM warning as "f0502" we upgrade the catalog for 2.2(1b) and activated the catalog. Still the error exist. Please advice us on this error.

Upgrading the catalog should be 2.2(1b) or we can upgrade the catalog to the latest version 3.0.

It depends on which blade you have loaded now and the memory module which is in the new blade. Check the Capability Catalog section of http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/ucs_2_2_rn.html#pgfId-307486 for the included memory modules in the current running version. If it is included in any higher capability catalog version, you can upgrade to any 2.2(x) catalog version and it should be fine.

In addition to Ganesh's post... 3.0 is (still at this point) only for UCS Mini.

Capability catalog can be any version as long as you stay within the same chain (2.1 uses any cap catalog of 2.1; 2.2 uses any cap catalog of 2.2 and so on)

Are these Cisco Memory modules?
