Is there any way to change an existing Sub-org's name with Cisco UCS?

I could not find a way to change it, and this is also pointed out in the documentation.
Step 4 In the Name field of the Create Organization dialog box, enter a unique name for the organization.
This name can be between 1 and 16 alphanumeric characters. You cannot use spaces or any special characters,
and you cannot change this name after the object has been saved.
The only thing you can do is change the description field.

JC,
If you're stuck and this is a pre-production system there is a way. You can take an "All Configuration" backup of your system - including "Preserve Identifies", and open up the XML file in an advanced text editor such as UltraEdit. From here do a search & replace for all objects with the old ORG name with the new one.
** Ensure your searches are an exact Case-senstivite match for the old object name.
** Go through each replace task 1 by 1 (there shouldn't be many) to ensure something doesn't mistakenly get changed.
Once changes, save the XML file with a NEW name (keeping your original safe), and the re-Import it back into UCSM using a "REPLACE" import operation. This works fine even with nested ORGs.
Disclaimer - This is not a support workaround/fix by TAC. As stated, you can do this for a pre-production system.
Regards,
Robert
