CIMC config or setup (F8) option is missing when booting UCS B200 M4

Hi,

I'm asked to reset and migrate an old UCS B200 M4 blade server that was administered by a resigned sys admin. All OS and data in this server is not used anymore. When I raised a support ticket to cisco they mentioned the CIMC but I cant see it in the bios when booting the server as attached.

When the server boots, it boots login page for multiple OS's that were installed by the resigned Sys admin.

Is there a way to install Vmware Esxi on the blade server without CIMC? How can i do it?

if not, How can I reinstall CIMC in the server? I saw cisco software download center and there are multiple softwares one of them is a .bin package not .iso extension.

B200-M4 is a UCSM managed rack server. You would need to login to UCSM GUI and configure a service profile with the blade and an appropriate boot order etc. You can also launch the vKVM and mount the ESXi installer remotely from here.

You could theoretically try to acquire a USB stick with ESXi installer burned to it, plug it into the server, reboot, press F6 and select the USB stick to boot and install the OS. This is assuming that you are booting to the local disk and both local disk and CD/DVD are contained in the boot order for the server. You can check all of this from the BIOS by pressing F2.
