I am unable to migrate from IMC supervisor 1.1.0.2 to 2.0. During the migration an error comes up that

Performing migration path check for platform source version 5.3.0.0 and product source version 1.1.0.2
[Wed Nov 23 18:45:09 UTC 2016] Supported Version list is not available. Terminating migration process.

Hi Tony.

You are still getting this, following http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/Cisco-IMC-Sup/install_guide/2-0/b_Cisco_IMC_Supervisor_Install_Guide_20/b_Cisco_IMC_Supervisor_Install_Guide_20_chapter_0101.html, and running step #3?

Migrating Cisco IMC Supervisor
Follow the procedure given below to migrate Cisco IMC Supervisor.
Procedure

  • Step 1 Set up the new Cisco IMC Supervisor 2.0 appliance. For more information, see Installing Cisco IMC Supervisor on VMware vSphere or Installing Cisco IMC Supervisor on Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Step 2 Login as root via the shelladmin console. Choose option 20.
    • Note The root password should not have any spaces.
  • Step 3 Run /opt/infra/migration/performMigration.sh.
  • Step 4 Point it to an existing appliance 1.1.x.x. All existing data will be imported.
    • Note The migration script will display an error if you point to a 1.0.0.x appliance.
  • Step 5 Test the 2.0 appliance and validate the data.
  • Step 6 Decommission the old 1.1.x.x appliance.

>>>>>Update:  The error is specifically from the performMigration.sh script.

You will want to open a TAC case, and see if there is a work around for this.

Thanks,

Kirk...

I actually successfully upgraded by editing the version file in the same directory as the upgrade script. Just added 1.1.0.2 in the supported versions list.

probably not supported but it worked..

Hi Tony.

Looks like 2.0 was released before the 1.1.0.2 version was published, which would explain why  it was missing.

I've reached out to the developers to see what the officially tested and supported options will be for others hitting your scenario.

Thanks,

Kirk...
