Firmware Upgrade to Cisco UCS Manager Release 3.2

Scenarios for Firmware Upgrade to Cisco UCS Manager Release 3.2

Upgrading the Infrastructure software bundle (A bundle) directly to Cisco UCS Manager Release 3.2(x) is supported from Release 2.2(8) and later releases. While upgrading from releases earlier than Release 2.2(8), you must upgrade to Release 2.2(8) or 3.1(x) first for A, B, and C bundles, and then upgrade to Release 3.2(x).

For Cisco UCS Mini, upgrading the Infrastructure software bundle (A bundle) directly to Cisco UCS Manager Release 3.2(x) is supported from Release 3.0(1) and later releases.

The following table lists the upgrade paths for various Cisco UCS Manager releases.

The 3.2(x) does have the 2.28 or 3.1x min. requirements.

Greetings.

The UCSM "A" bundle and the Blade "B" bundle cross compatibility can be viewed at: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/CiscoUCSManager-RN-3-2.html#concept_4B24EBA51A3940EEA3AB50860D963F57

In general, for the 3.1, 3.2 releases, as long as your infrastructure is at 3.1x, then you can bump the blade bundles up to 3.2(3a) for instance.

This of course assumes, there is not some specific dependency for specific hardware support at a given UCSM "A" bundle level.

Thanks,

Kirk...

can we upgrade UCS manager from 2.2(6f) to 3.1x?

Greetings.

Yes.
