We are planning for UCS Manager upgrade, but before that we want to make sure the fabric failover is working. we have OS based NIC teaming/bonding for servers having multiple NICs and Cisco enabled fabric failover for servers with single NIC. How can we test the Failover confiuguration?

If you have OS based NIC teaming/bonding, you should NOT use fabric failover. You will see network connectivity issues during the failover events.

To test fabric failover, disable the NIC in UCSM from the Equipment > Server > Adapter tab.

To test fabric failover on the entire FI, use Fabric Evacuation.
