Dear community,
We assume that we have a problem with our UCS Central config-all backup.
I did an import of an config-all backup from our production system to our testing instance of UCS Central which is connected two our UCS Platform Emulators. The status of the import job is "all-success". But, after the
successful import I miss some Global Service Profile Templates which exists in our production system.
Because of the successful import job I assume that the Global Service Profile Template is already missing in the config-all backup. And I'm afraid of other missing profiles and templates I'm not aware of at this time. So I assume that the config-all backup is not complete and some of the settings are missing in the backup file.
How could I check, wether my config-all backup is complete or not? Could this be a bug in UCS Central?
Thanks in advance for your help and thoughts on this.
Best regards.

Hi Admin,
There are a few bugs regarding this issue that are currently employee visible only. What UCS Version are you currently running?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. We are running version 1.3(1b) on the production system and 1.3(1c) on the testing environment. We like to test our configuration on the testing system befor we patch our production to 1.3(1c).
Regards,
Joerg

Can you try to take a Full State backup Configuration and see if the problem persists?

I think that is possible. I will post the results here when I am finished doing the recovery.

Good Morning,
I restored a full state backup on the testing system and compared templates, profiles, pools and policies with our production system. The full state backup seems to be complete.
I've managed to change the systems ip address via the CLI. But I was not able to change the UCS Central System Name as well. Could you give me a hint how to do that, please? I like to change the name befor we start using the testing system again.
Regarding the config-all backup, is there any workaround to fix this? I like to use this backup to transfer configuration settings from production to testing from time to time. Could you guess when this bug could be fixed in an upcoming release?
Thank you for your support on this issue. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Joerg

Ok,
here is another thing I tried.
I have installed a UCS Central instance via site revoery from a full system state backup from our production system as mentioned in my last post.
In this UCS Central instance (version 1.3(1c)) all templates and profiles are present. Next I run a config-all backup on this new recovered instance. Sad but true, the config-all backup from version 1.3(1c) is incomplete, too.
I would appreciate if this bug would be fixed soon.
Kind regards,
Joerg
