Hi All,
I have a question regarding building UC on UCS using a C210M2 rackmount server with ESXi 5 installed.
I am trying to find out if I still need to disable LRO.
I think that I do but my colleague seems quite sure we would only need to disable LRO if in a Vmware 4.0 or 4.1 environment.
Can anyone please help me out with an answer?
I have proveded a link below which I am using as my reference on the issue.
Thanks for any help.
Regards
Amanda

The problem began with ESX 4.0, and was apparently fixed in ESX 4.1 U2 and ESX 5.0 but we still advise to disable LRO for both versions when using UC on UCS.
The issue was originally tracked by VMware here:
Cisco documentation for the UCCx products still states that this feature should be disabled when installing UCCx VM's on ESXi 5. I have attached a document titled "Virtualization For Unified CCx" for reference.

Robert

Good Day Robert,
Many thanks for that.
We are using UCCX so that is a real factor.
All the best.

Good News.
Doc wiki was updated in April; VOS\RHEL 5+ supports LRO. CUCM 8.6+ UCCX 9.0+
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Disable_LRO
Note: If you're running CUCM 8.6, UCCX/ IP IVR 9.0 and above (i.e., UC applications using VOS/ RHEL 5+), the Linux version used in these releases is compatible with LRO, you don't have to worry about the settings (disable LRO is not required) on the host or which version of ESXi is running. However, Disabling LRO is required for CUCM including other UC applications such as UCCX/ IP IVR, etc. versions 8.0 and 8.5 (prior to VOS/RHEL 5.0) irrespective of ESXi version.
