Disk led amber and green in the mean time

Dear Community,

I have a Cisco UCS C220 M3 server with four hard drives. One of the hard drives is showing a steady green LED along with a blinking amber light. I’ve checked the status through CIMC, and everything seems normal.

Could someone please confirm if this combination of green and amber lights indicates that the drive might need replacement?

Thank you!

Blinking amber can mean rebuilding and usually not complete failure.

This can occur after a drive stopped responding, or had some sort of recoverable media or firmware error that took it briefly offline.
I 'think' you can also get a predictive failure alert with similar blinking pattern.
