Email Alerts without Smart Call Home

I am trying to enable alerting on equipment faults or interface down and it appears in 4.X that the Customer ID/Contract...are mandatory fields for enabling Call Home.

 

Any suggestions on how to just get simply alerts?  We are looking into intersite in the future but not prepared to move down that path now.

If you don't have that info, I would try just putting some placeholder value, and see if the local emal alerts work successfully (assuming you have correct SMTP, recipient addresses defined.  You can come back and update that info, if you later decide you want to setup smart call home (i.e. have SRs opened automatically for you)

UCSM doesn't currently support SMTP auth, so make sure your SMTP server will allow the UCSM FI node and VIP IPs to 'relay' through it.
