ESXi CPU error B200 M4

Hi team,

My 2 B200 M4 blades are 2 x CPU E5-2660 v3 with 10 cores. All CPU informtion are showing correct on UCSM.

For VMware licensing purpose, ESXi (5.5 U2) is showing me 4 processors sockets and 5 cores per sockets instead of 2 processors sockets and 10 cores per sockets.

Can you please advise how to correct this on VMware side?

This is a feature of the CPU for the M4 servers we came out with.

Go into the BIOS settings of the M4 Server and manually disable COD (Cluster on Die) in the Advanced Tab. This cannot be done from the Service Profile on the B200 M4 since this is an exclusive feature and does not appear in the BIOS Policy.

Hi Sir,

Yes sure, I must request for a new VMware license for this CPU configuration.

I don't see the option CoD in the advanced tab in the bios.

BIOS version is : B200M4.2.2.3.0.080820140005

On the advanced tab you have to go into the QPI settings to see the COD feature.
