Hello,
We have two FI6248 in a cluster that should be connected to two MDS SAN switches, using FC ports.
However, i am not able to configure the ports on the FI.
There is no "Configure as FC Storage Port" option. I only see "Configure as FCoE Storage Port".
I have the FC SFPs (DS-SFP-FC8G-SW --> 8 Gbps Fibre Channel SW SFP+, LC) installed on the two FI6248 on the first 16 ports.
Any idea what is the issue?

The 6248UP has unified ports. The ports can be configured as Ethernet Ports or FC ports. By default, all ports are Ethernet. The ports you are configuring is currently an Ethernet port. You will need to config some ports as FC ports. Ethernet ports will be on the left side of your FI and FC ports will be on the right side.
The following link discusses how to convert a UP port from Ethernet to FC. Since this is on your FI and not an expansion module, you will need to reboot the FI as a last step.

Hello Michael,
We need to configure FI ports connecting to MDS as " FC uplink " type.

The port type for the port is probably set as an enternet type. It needs to set as a FC port type in the UCS Manager.
When the port mode is set to Fibre Channel, you can configure the following port types:

As explained, I did a right click on the unconfigured port, and all i can see is options like "Configure as Ethernet Uplink", "Configure as FCoE Storage Port" and "Configure as Appliance Port".
There was no option of "Configure as FC Storage Port" or "Configure as FC Uplink".
The GUI configuration guide for UCS 2.0, it says to configure an FC storage port, Go to FI > Expansion Module > Uplink FC Port > Configure as FC storage port.
But in my case, i only have the fixed ports, i don't have any expansions.
Any ideas?
