Help with "simple" boot from mirrored local drives.

Why is it so hard to find a simple guid on how to configure mirrored drives in a B200 blade?  I can configure boot from SAN via iSCSI, or FC. I've built automation tools for UCS, but I cannot for life of me find a simple guide help with configuring simple RAID1 (mirrored) drives in a B200 Blade. Either I get two seperate drives, or a Service policy that cannot be applied because the target blade "Doesnt' have enough drives". Yeah, 2 drives is a lot to ask for.  I can see how that would be a problem.  What clown at Cisco screwed this up so much that it has taken hours to try get this working correctly and still the best I can do is install VMware on one or the other drive.

UCS 4.1.3h, B200-M5 server blades with 230GB SSDs. This REALLY! should not be this hard!

Can anyone help?

Neither should getting a correct Label to post here, but that is a whole other post.....

A local disk policy of raid1 mirror is what you are after, but there are some pre-existing config issues that can trigger the "doesn't have enough drives' error.  Not sure if the drives have a pre-existing config on them at this point, or had a 'protect Configuration' applied to them.  You may need to try booting up into the LSI/Avago/Broadcom option ROM Utility during post via  vKVM, and make sure any existing config is deleted.   Also, disks need to be in 'unconfigured good' state, and not 'jbod'  Don't recall if it's cntrl+H or cntrl+R to trigger option ROM.   Also assuming your disks are PID UCS-SD240GBMS4-EV ?

Thanks,

Kirk...
