how to change JBOD staus form false to TRUE

Hi All

 

i need to change my JBOD option on my Controller from False to TRUE. I am using UCSC-RAID-M5HD (Cisco 12G Modular Raid Controller with 4GB cache) on the UCS C240 M5SX.

i already tried that method, but somehow when i press ctrl+R while boot it's goes no where or not entering raid config ultilty. Any clue for this issue..? or any other methode to do that.. FYI i just replaced my raid controller

We had the same issue a few weeks ago. Some RAID Controllers in B200 M3 servers would not change the drive state of the disk to JBOD. Error message was something about the controller not being in JBOD mode.

 

Finally we could fix this by changing the mode with the "storcli" software: https://www.intel.co.uk/content/www/uk/en/download/17809/storcli-standalone-utility.html

 

The command we used:

# x must be replaced with the controller id
storcli64 /cx set jbod=on

If you have replaced your raid controller, you might want to check your option rom setting to ensure the option ROM is enabled for that raid controller (ctrl+R is an option ROM function).
