how to modify existing service profile - vNic/vHBA placement policy

we have four blades that we want to add vHBA adapters. The blades are currently associated to service profiles. withing these service profiles i can see a reference to a single vNIC/vHBA placement policy. <<<---- How do  i edit this placement policy to include vHBA?

Can someone tell me if I have the steps, correct??

1. place esxi host in maint mode.
2. unbind server from template.
3. modify service template. > create vHBA1 > create vHBA2
4. re-bind server to template. 
5. reboot server????
6. exit maintenance mode????
