IOM question.

Will resetting one of the IOM reboot all of the servers within that chassis?

No.  It will however take down network access for all adapter interfaces connected to that fabric.  Ensure you have teaming, multi-pathing or redundancy at the OS level.

hmmm .. that's what I thought also, but looking at the event log, I see identifying serverx/x after i reset one of the IOMs

That's just the IOM's CMC (Chassis management controller) performing a shallow-discovery.  ie. taking inventory.

Thats normal &  expected.
