I couldn't find an answer to this that wasn't 5-year-old information, so I'm going to ask it again... Is there a way to either skip the memory validation on startup (during POST) or do a quick POST of the UCS C-Series boxes? We have several C460 models that just came in, and it's taking us ages to get through POST so we can configure the CIMC and do what we need to do to get these ready. We would really love to shave some time off our boots, especially since we'll probably be adding more RAM to these in the future (currently have 2TB).
Thanks!

The problem is well known; I don't know of any offical / supported method to do it.

If still not avail, I would open a TAC case to see if a bug can be open to include standalone servers to the same fix.

Bummer... I was hoping that something had changed in 5 years and that I had just missed it through bad Google-fu :(
Thanks Walter

We have this bug on B-Series: https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtn30759/?reffering_site=dumpcr and shows up as fixed in:
2.2(2c), 2.2(3a), 2.5(1a) & 3.0(2c) (I dont see anything like that for C-Series standalone but the fix is in BIOS for M3 servers and newer, so you better check the BIOS if you are using an M3 or newer server)

Keny,
It's a C460 M4, running 2.0(6d). I see the latest version as being 2.0(8d), so upgrading may give us that option in BIOS, but looking at the release notes I'm not so sure. I do not see it in the BIOS menus with the current version, but am not opposed to upgrading if we know that will fix the issue.

So when you check in BIOS that option "Built-In Self Test" is not avail (like in my screenshot)?

Correct, I verified it before I posted. We're going to update to the 2.0(8d) firmware to see if that gives the option at all.
