Hi,
I am running vSphere 5.1 Build 838463 (latest). I am also using the vCenter Appliance and an additional VM on the host for VUM.
I have upgraded my pair of Nexus 1000v VSMs to v.4.2(1)SV2(1.1). This all works fine. However when I try and manually upgrade the VEM, using the "esxcli" command directly on the host shell, it completely fails and bombs out the host which can only be resolved with a reboot.
Looking at the release notes, only the following VIBs seemed to be bundled with the release:
1. VMware ESX500 (build 469512) and ESXi500 (build 469512) (5.0 GA) :
VEM500-20121019150116-BG-release.zip (md5 a3446db25eca5d54e96968f5eca5ca12)
cross_cisco-vem-v150-4.2.1.2.1.1.0-3.0.1.vib (md5 ca7a3c75a37ff9f22acfae23929f419f)
2. VMware ESX510 (build 799733) and ESXi510 (build 799733) (5.1 GA) :
VEM510-20121019150119-BG-release.zip (md5 22ffc91381fe32a0e13b243dce7f4584)
cross_cisco-vem-v150-4.2.1.2.1.1.0-3.1.1.vib (md5 65ce768170ebdc4b8512e8ad3de9c7e6)
Should the VIB for build 799733 work the latest vSphere build 838463 ?
Thanks in advance.
