Hi guys,
One of our c220 m3 nodes has a low Max. Warning and Max. Failure value set for the P2_TEMP_SENS:
Name P2_TEMP_SENS:
Sensor Status: Normal
Reading: 42.5
Units: C
Min. Warning: N/A
Max. Warning: 62.0
Min. Failure: N/A
Max. Failure: 72.0
I'm not sure how this value was set, the other processor on this node has a 'Max. Warning' value of 96.0 and a 'Max. Failure' value of 99.0 as do the processors that I've checked in our other nodes. This low threshold is causing many messages to be logged in the CIMC event log as the temperature of the CPU regularly exceeds these thresholds. This issue is that I'm not sure how I can reconfigure these thresholds. Are these thresholds fixed or can they be configured?

Hi
Can you provide an screenshot of this?
Also I don't believe there is any way you can set this values, it should be set by the system.
What firmware is this server running? Are you other nodes running the same firmware?
Try upgrading the firmware of you server and check those values again.
let me know if this helps.

Hi Manual,
All the other nodes are running the same firmware - 1.5(3d) but none of the other nodes had these P2 processor thresholds. I've taken your advice and updated the firmware to 1.5(7e) and this seems to have fixed the problem. In fact since that update, for consistency with our other nodes, I reverted back to 1.5(3d) and the threshold values have remained at the correct/expected values.
Thanks for your help.
