Network Connectivity for Cisco UCS C3160

Dears,

We have a Cisco UCS Server C3160.

We updated the firmware to the latest version, and we are able to connect to the CMIC on the network, and do installations and map media via KVM.

I have modified the documents "back view diagram" to be like ours..

There are two SIOC with [1 port Ethernet and 2 10-Gb SPF ports]..

Both  Ethernet ports are connected and one SPF.

Network Adapters view is empty.

I have connected the SFP port to a 1000base Cisco switch, and still inactive.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Khalid Rehan.

If that is the SIOC based off of the VIC 1227 which takes SFPs, then I don't think that supports 1Gb.

Based on UCSC-MLOM-CSC-02, spec sheet, https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/unified-computing-system-adapters/datasheet-c78-732515.html

it shows:

●  SFP-10G-USR (Ultra short range, MMF)
●  SFP-10G-SR(Short range, MMF)
●  SFP-10G-LR(Long range, SMF)
●  10GBASE-CU SFP+ Cable 1 Meter
●  10GBASE-CU SFP+ Cable 3 Meter
●  10GBASE-CU SFP+ Cable 5 Meter
●  10GBASE-CU SFP+ Cable 7 Meter
●  SFP-10GB-ACU Cable 7 Meter
