Hi,
I need to know the difference in configuration in UCS manager when using 1000v and when using vsphere standard switch
The only thing that I think about is when we create vNIC template, we choose target as adapter if we'll use 1000v. and choose adapter and VM if we'll use vsphere standard switch that when using VM, it will then create port profiles in the VM tab
Please help to clarify this

Hi -
not quite understand the question....
From the UCSM, you only create the hardware components for the blades such as vNIC/vHBA, which is presented as physical links for the esxi hosts.
When configuring the N1Kv or VMWare standard switch, you will need to use either vSphere or VSM to configure the port-group or port-profiles.
