Hi Leo,
Can we know the patch/fix will introduce new problems to CUCM 10.5,CUC or Subscribers which running on blade server? Does anyone tested the fix and it's running stable without introducing new problem to the appliance which running on blade servers? Any Cisco document proof this?

I upgraded two of my new 8540 (C240 M4 chassis) CIMC to 3.0(4a). Part of the patch covers a BIOS upgrade. This is where the Intel Meltdown and SPECTRE patch. There is no way to upgrade the BIOS without rebooting the appliance.

Thanks Leo. Really helpful. But my organization need a document from Cisco stated there will be no new problem will be introduce to appliances like CUCM or CUC after patch. I understand one of the impact will be reboot the CIMC.

Uhhhh ... Good luck with that. No manufacturer is going to issue this "document". Legal department will going to go bat-sh1t-crazy with this request.
