Hi everyone,
My customer has ordered two new chassis.
Because they only order 1 SFP-H10G-C5M per IOM for new chassis and old policy is 2 link , I must change the chassis discovery policy to "1 link".
From the configuration guide, I must re-ack the chassis after change the chassis policy to 1 link so all of the link can work if i have more then 1 link.
From my point I think it will cause data interrupt .
Do I have an exact understanding?

Hi Hele
ack the chassis after changing the chassis discovery policy is disruptive.
Any traffic is stopped for about 100 +- seconds. No blade reboot ! Most OS would survive; however, it is higly recommended to this in maintenance window.
2.2.4b introduced however a nice feature, which makes above obsolete:
Per Fabric Interconnect Chassis Reacknowledgment—You can now reacknowledge a chassis per Fabric Interconnect. This allows you to maintain connectivity to the chassis through the other Fabric Interconnect.

Hi Walter,
Thank you for your information, its very useful.
The Pre fabric chassis Re-ack is very good, but for us we do not upgrade firmware at this time.
Well, I will change the policy in a maintenance window.
