I've attempted to install ESXi on a C220 M4 using SCU on FlexFlash but the installation fails with the following error;
an error has occurred while parsing the installation script error:file://etc/vmware/weasel/esx_ks_sd.cfg:line10: error (see log for more info): could not open file /tmp/install_disk [errno 2] no such file or directory: '/tmp/install_disk'
I'm not troubleshooting this particular error yet. The problem I have is that any subsequent attempts to boot into the SCU on the FlexFlash card just lauches the ESXi installation again. How can I cancel the ESXi installation so that I can boot into the SCU on the FlexFlash again please?
Thanks,

Greetings.
Later versions of the CIMC/HUU will set just one local HV partition without the HUU, SCU, Drivers partitions.
I would update your C220M4 to the latest HUU/firmware, reset the partition defaults, which will create just the HUU partition, and then boot the SCU ISO to reinit the ESXi install.
Your current scenario is happening because your HV partition has a partial install of ESXi which the SCU partition based utility recognizes as a previous install attempt it thinks it needs to finish.
Ultimately you need to clear the HUU partition, and I am suggesting you may as well go to the single HV partition model used in later firmware. The M4 servers on the 3.0x HUU firmware also move to HTML5 interface and HTML5 KVM!!!!!!

Thanks Kirk, appreciate your input.
I'd already ran the latest HUU and upgraded to firmware 3.0(1c) - the HTML KVM is so much better - but wasn't sure how best to configure the Flex Flash. I've now got it with a single Hypervisor partition, but if I boot from the latest SCU (ucs-cxxx-scu-4.0.13a.iso) and attempt to install ESXi 6 I still see the same script parsing error. Am ging to try a few different combo's of SCU versions & ESXi versions.

I am curious as to your results with various ESXi version tests.
You may need to open a TAC SR to help determine if this is an issue with ESXi or with the SCU utility itself...
Thanks,

Kirk,
I couldn't find any combination of ESXi v6 install media and the most recent 2 versions of SCU which would successfully install. I resorted to installing ESXi manually from the install media. This worked fine so don't think the issue is with ESXi.
Cheers,
