Service Profile Edit and Server Rebooting

If I modify a service profile does that always end up with wanting to restart the server?  In our case we have a maintenance policy setup for acknowledging so it doesn't automatically restart.  But does 'any' edit to a profile require a restart?  I want to create a new vMedia Policy for our ESX hosts with 6.5.  If I edit a service profile will that that put it in a pending reboot state?

You likely have some underlying change that require a reboot to complete.

To test, you may unbind a single service profile from the template and ack the change and allow it to reboot. After reboot, check to see if it still prompts for reboot after making changes. Otherwise, you best bet is to open a TAC case to understand the behavior.
