I am attempting to connect a UCS C220M5 node with SFP-10G-T-X in the SFP ports and Cat6a to a 10G RJ-45 port on a Catalyst 9300 stack. No link is being established. Are there specific commands to enable that SFP in the UCS node?
NIC: UCSC-PCIE-C25Q-04 which says the optic is supported

Checking the spec sheet at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/unified-computing-system-adapters/datasheet-c78-741130.html

IMC is 4.2(3b) and VIC firmware is 5.2(3c), which shows as supported. Cables types are not being mixed.

I have this problem as well. I have learned that the VIC 1455 running version 5.2(2b) works with the SFP-10G-T-X SFP; however, and upgrade to version 5.2(3c) breaks this functionality. The NIC shows SFPs as being present, but in a "disconnect" state.
What I did to resolve the issue was downgrade to version 4.2(2a) that contains the VIC 1455 version 5.2(2b) firmware and then upgrade to 4.2(3b) using the "advanced method" and selecting updates individually; however, leaving the VIC 1455 as "unchecked".
I have a TAC case open for this issue.

I used a third party optic which is now working. TAC said the SFP is not supported on standalone CIMC server, only on UCSM software.

It's a bug:

CIMC: Links with SFP-10G-T-X on VIC are showing down when running Adapter firmware version 5.2(3c)

The issue seems to be fixed in 4.3.2.230270.
