Shutting down CIMC with ISE application running

Hello.

As you see a title, I want to know whether I can shut down CIMC with ISE application running and how this operation affects ISE application.

ISE is running on UCS Server.

Here is the information about UCS Server and ISE version.

Here is command when shutting down CIMC

# scope chassis
/chassis # power off
----------------------

Are there any problem in this case?

Does your ISE software not have a method to gracefully shutdown ?

If your ISE server is virtual /ESXi based, I would think you would both want to power down your ISE virtual appliance guestVM, and then shutdown your ESXi host.

If you are having issues connecting either to your guestVM ISE or ESXi host over the network, you might be able to use CIMC's SOL, to connect to console, and issue a more graceful shutdown.
