test connectivity between FI and SAN

Hi,

could i do fc ping from Fabric interconnect working in fc switching mode and if I could please tell me how ?

and if I could not how can I check connectivity between FI and Netapp storage

What is your configuration ?

Netapp storage connected directly to FI with FC ?

or

Do you have a FC SAN ? and if yes, what kind of switches ?

Hi Walter

Netapp FAS 2552 7mode connected directly to FI 6248 with FW 2.2(3c) in FC SW mode using FC SFP 8 G in both sides

the physical connection such in the attached pic 1

the configuration on FI:

1- create 2 vHBA in each server for both paths FI-A and FI-B

2- create zoning 

vHBA FIA --> both WWPN of both ports of controller 1 of Netapp target

vHBA FIB --> both WWPN of both ports of controller 2 of Netapp target

those done for each blade

make sure you enabled the FC zonning at VSAN profile.
