UCS-C standalone with MLOM

Hi guys,

short question:

Is it supported to use the integrated MLOM-ports without fabric interconnects?

We use C220 M4 rack servers standalone and want to connect the MLOM ports to the datacenter switch.

If it is supported, is there any way to disable flow control on Windows Server 2016? For now the option is missing on the advanced properties of the ports.

Thanks a lot,

Dennis

Yes, you can connect the MLOM to the switch directly.

Looks like here is how you do it in Windows 2012. You would need to engage Microsoft for more info.

Thanks.

For my understanding

Disable-NetQosFlowControl

is only for Priority-Based FlowControl.

The Microsoft documentation states, that you can use for example:

Set-NetAdapterAdvancedProperty -Name MyAdapter -DisplayName "Flow Control" -DisplayValue "Disable"
This works for broadcom drivers, but not for the enic driver. It doens´t offer the possibility to change or view that parameter.

Just to clarify: we are using the Cisco VIC 1227 to connect to the switches.
