A customer has a ucs c220 m3, where an ISE was installed. An attempt was made to reinstall the software of the ISE, but in the process an error appears indicating that a physical unit is not found to install.
It was therefore reviewed by the CIMC and in fact it is not seen that it recognizes the hard disk.
The system was upgraded to the latest recommended version, but after this it is not seen that it recognizes the hard disk.
In the appliance itself, there is no alarm on the disk and no other type
What we could review additional or perform to be able to have visibility of the disks and thus make the software installation of the ISE

When you upgraded the CIMC....did you also upgrade the BIOS, RAID controller, etc?
Since the controller is missing from the CIMC, it looks like the CIMC cannot detect the controller, hence the drives show missing. Once you install the correct BIOS and RAID controller firmware, the controller and drive should show back up.

In the upgrade process all the components were updated.
How could we validate which version would be the most appropriate?

Some of the earlier ISE appliances shipped with a single SATA drive that was connected to the onboard megaraidSR controller.
Without an additional 'key', the onboard controller on these would only use Sata, and not SAS (which is what is pictured)
You may need to confirm what the sata/sas backplan is actually wired to, if you can't get the CIMC to enumerate any storage/drives.
If the onboard controller is in use, the CIMC does not see it, as it is an 'unmanaged'.
