Good morning, techies!
I just got a new Raid Card installed and have 8 HDD installed into the server. However only drive bays 5-8 show up, drives 1-4 do not show up but I have switched them around and always only bay 5-8 show up. I see that the backplane cables are good and conencted. On the front panel, all 8 drives have an LED of steady green
Does anyone have any information on how to troubleshoot this? thank you so much sincerely

The required UCS-220CBLHBA8= cable kit has one Y-cable with a mini-SAS HD double connector on one end and two mini-SAS HD single connectors on the other end.
There is also a cable: UCS-220CBLMR4= which only drives 4 drives.
What raid controller are you using?
Either we have incorrect cable/SAS controller for 8 drives, or there is issue with 1st "A" backplane sas port.
