I recently upgraded from a C220 M4 running a E5 2620 v4 to a C220 M5 running a Xeon Gold 6134. I migrated the existing Proxmox installation and its existing VMs with it. Load is relatively minimal most times, as it is running network services and an OPNSense router/firewall VM. However, the idle power consumption of the C220 M5 tends to hold around 120w average. The C220 M4 was going as low as 65w and averaging around 75w. I've tried many different configurations, both in BIOS and in OS, going as far as using the powersave governor. The systems are kitted fairly similarly other than platform differences. Has anyone had a similar experience or can share some tips on how to reduce the idle power consumption?
