Will UCS-6454 in Switch Mode Support VPCs

I am working a project that we are implimenting new 6454 FI's. The current environment has all the NFS storage connected to a stack of Cisco 5k's using VPC's for the LAGs. The FI's are connecting to a Cisco N9508. Will the 6454 support VPC's in switch mode? If so it is a good idea to use on the FI's? Plan B is to just move the storage to the N9508 and leave the 6454s in Host Mode.

I did find this info on vPC in Switch mode. In looking at this I would say that having the storage in the 6454s is not a good option.

Switch Mode and vPC:
When the FI is in Switch Mode, the port-channel on the FI side can only be in "ON" mode, not "Active" mode, for loop-free operation.

I would not recommend ethernet switch mode for the FI. Best practice would be to use End Host mode.

95%+ of customers use Ethernet end-host mode. Ethernet switching mode was essentially a workaround for something which later became a moot point once UCS released Disjoint Layer 2 forever ago in UCSM 2.0(1m).

I'm not sure of what you are asking, but the UCS FIs will likely *never* be a "vPC pair" themselves.
UCS FI's act as independent switches.
UCS Chassis to FI uplink cabling is "parallel" cabling and never "bow-tie" cabling.

What problem are you trying to solve with your proposed topology?
Maybe drawing out what you are asking may help.
