Hello,
The server hangs at 'configuring and testing platform hardware'. This happened after adding a virtual disk with CIMC trying to see the hard disk for installing OS. After this change, the server hangs at 'configuring and testing platform hardware'.
The only thing we can do is to access CIMC. We have tried to reset bios and Clear BIOS CMOS with the CIMC tools without success. We are attaching CIMC system event log.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Try to access the KVM console,
If you can't access the KVM use the o'reliable keyboard and mouse
Reboot/reset the server, and try to create the virtual disks(RAID) through the WebBIOS itself.
To access the webBIOS, let the server boot and once it prompts CTRL+H, well do it.
Once you are in the webbios, try to clear the configuration and try to RAID.

Thanks for the answer,
I can access KVM console but there is no way to access the WebBIOS. No option of doing CTRL+H.
Startup hangs in
"Configuring platform hardware" .

Just to verify
Has this server been working already?
Just wanted to check if all your RAMs(DIMM) slots are in the right place.
Take note that every server model has a different way of populating the RAMs
Kindly verify and maybe psuh them a bit.
If issue still persist you might want to open a TAC case.

Having a similar error. Were you able to have the issue fixed, if so what was it?

I only can access parameters via CIMC and Onboard Storage Support appears as 'Diabled'. So, it seems to be correctly configured.
I cannot access BIOS pressing Ctrl options at start up, it hangs before that step.

I'd follow the link you've provided since I'm having this exact issue, but it's saying that I don't have permissions to view the page which is odd since I do have an active SmartNet Contract for my UCS C240. I have an active case for this unit right now, but was hoping to find some answers myself as my ticket has been open for nearly 2 months now...
