Can I restart the CIMC interface with no service impact to my VMs / apps?

Yes.  CIMC is completely out of band management.   The CIMC is a management controller.  You'd be restarting the management controller, not the interface.

The only thing to note is any KVM sessions or virtual Media mounts will also be disconnected.

I saw another thread where you were discussing CICM upgrade options.  Is the HUU upgrade option the only supported method for CICM upgrades?  In other words, the only option for client CIMC upgrades requires a chassis power cycle?

So as per the thread you can do the CIMC upgrade via the CIMC GUI, but if you can tolerate a power cycle we recommend letting HUU run through the upgrading of all FW components so they're at a consistent level.
