UCS FI-IO Module stuck in discovery

An installation of the ucs 5108 mini is stuck in discovery and unable to see the blade servers in slots 1 and 2. Efforts to download chassis logs is not succeeding either.

Below are some of the errors being reported.

[FSM:FAILED]: configuration of IOM 1/1(left) connectivity to fabric interconnect A(FSM:sam:dme:EquipmentIOCardBaseFeConn). Remote-Invocation-Error: no connection to MC endpoint.

[FSM:FAILED]: configuration of IOM 1/2(right) connectivity to fabric interconnect B(FSM:sam:dme:EquipmentIOCardBaseFeConn). Remote-Invocation-Error: no connection to MC endpoint.

System came shipped with ucsm 3.2 (2e), have upgrade it to 4.0 (1a) and later downgraded to 3.1 (1j) (the version on a working setup) with the same errors persisting.

Opened a support case but not much help could be rendered.

Any help please.

Attached are some screenshots of error.

Hello,

From looking at the screenshots and the errors you listed in the post, I would suspect some kind of software issue.

What do you see when you run the below commands from a SSH session to the environment?

[username]

[password]

connect local a

show cluster ext

show pmon state

exit

connect local b

show cluster ext

show pmon state

Thank you for the feedback. See the output of the commands, attached and advise.

Frednetech,

Looking this over, it looks like the processes are running (although we may want to see what the logging for some of those is reporting). Do you have a case open for this issue?
