UCS - free SAN simulator

Hi,

I don't have a real SAN device but want to practice the SAN behavior with UCS. Any free SAN simulator to attach to UCS?

There are a couple I know of.

OpenFiler - a free SAN based application.

NetApp ONTAP Simulator -

Both come as a VMware Virtual appliance, so they're good options for testing.

I have used both and they are good stuff. Would say OpenFiler is "easy" if you have not worked with a NetApp before. Also you really have a NAS device if you install OpenFiler not a symulator. The NetApp Simulator will work as a NAS device but could not really be used in production. You might get more out of an OpenFiler. It is an amazing project.
