Hello Everyone,
Looking for help on getting ESXi 8.0 to SAN boot in UEFI mode on a B200 M6 blade server. This is a new/fresh UCS environment.
The Esxi installer can see the volume.
Installation of ESXi 8.0 on the volume was successful but once it reboots, it enters the UEFI shell screen instead of booting into ESXi.
Below are screenshots that might possibly help you to understand and proffer a solution to my predicament.
This is the only boot option I see
This what I see if I press F6 (boot menu)
Thank you.

If you boot with the install ISO and choose “Boot from local disk” (or similar), does it boot into your installed system?
Can you try the workaround at CSCuh13333 No boot item added in F6 boot menu for the new installed esxi OS?

Apologies for the late reply, I have been out of the office and thank you for your replies it helped me to troubleshoot. It turned out the issue was with the specified WWPN on my target, my flogi database showed two wwpn
once I changed it from 50:0a.... to 20:12.. on my boot policy, rebooted the server it, the server booted the installed ESXi from SAN.
Thank you Steven and Rian. Much appreciated
