My first post on this forum so forgive me if I've not pitched it at the correct technical level.
I was having trouble working with vMedia, specifically mounting an ISO image from an HTTP server. Frustratingly, this had worked last week. After as much diagnostic work as I was able to do (I have limited knowledge of the UCS CLI) and confirming that the fault didn't lie with the web server; I reluctantly (being an infrastructure person I don't like the switch it off and on again approach) rebooted each of the FIs. To my relief, this worked. The ISO now mounts perfectly and I could install my OS on the blade.
Whilst I'm ok rebooting FIs on a development system, I would be a little more reluctant to do so on our production system, even though everything is dual pathed. I'm happy to provide whatever details are required to have this reported as a bug but I don't know how to do that so any advice would be gratefully received. I can involve support if necessary as all this equipment has an active support contract. Of course I'll have to wait until it fails again
