upgrading UCS from 2.1(3a) to 2.2(1f)

Hi

I need to do a infrastructure/server firmware upgrade from 2.1(3a) to 2.2(1f) which I believe its the latest. HAs anyone done this and are they any bugs with going this route? 

For the server firmware upgrade, I am not sure if I need to upgrade my current esxi drivers (enic, fnic) before upgrading the server firmware.

The latest UCS version is 2.2.3f not 2.2(1f) !

For enic / fnic driver version check

which ESXi version ?

First you upgrade the infrastructure, then server and finally enic/fnic driver (manually or VUM)

thank you for the correction. yes 2.2.3f.

I am running esxi 5.1 but will be going to 5.5 after the ucs firmware/server firmware upgrade

the enic / fnic driver versions for esxi 5.1 and 5.5 are identical

Be aware, that only V5.5 U2 is on the interop matrix

Adapter Driver   = 1.6.0.12b (FNIC) / 2.1.2.62 (ENIC)
Adapter Firmware = 4.0(1)
Boot Code / BIOS =

Note 11: A Cisco OEM Customized ESX ISO maybe required for installation. Custom ISO’s contain the minimum driver level for installation, please check the Cisco HCL for the supported driver versions. so can I stick with

and fnic: 1.5.0.8

after upgrading firmwares to 2.2(3f) while staying on esxi 5.1u2 or do I need to upgrade the drivers?

You need to upgrade enic/fnic, otherwise you are not compliant !
