What is the best practice for configuring ports on the Fabric that aren't going to be used? Our clustered UCS with 2 fabrics always have the yellow outline on the fabric nodes in UCSM because we have 8 ports on the expansion modules but only one port being used for SAN connectivity. All the other ports don't have SFPs and aren't going to be used at this time but UCSM always complains with: "A oper state: sfp-not-present". Are we supposed to disable these ports if we're not using it? This is the same for ports that we have SFPs plugged in but no fibre cable.
Thanks.

I personally disable unused ports but I don't know if this is a best practice or not.

Thanks. I guess I'll follow the same route for now then to get ride of the warnings.
