Is the vmware esxi 5.1 Cisco media available yet?  I do not see it on vmware's download site.  Thank you.

Not yet, there is only 5.0 Cisco specific one.

Is it ok to use the esxi5.1 or should stay with the Cisco 5.0u1?

If you don't need new functionality of 5.1, I would go with 5.0.
Otherwise - there are few cisco 5.0 drivers listed under 5.1, try to install them.

Watt kind of servers are you running?
More specific, what nic models are you dealing with?
