Hello,
I have a UCS with FI 6248 + IOM 2204 + server B200M3 with :
- Mezz Slot : empty
- mLOM slot : VIC 1280
So, I have for the B200M3, 2 x 10gb/s path from VIC to FI6248 :
- port0, 2204-A, FI-A
- port1, 2204-B, FI-B
What is the best practice to configure the veth under UCSManager :
- use the vNIC 0 (fabric A) + enable failover : with this choice i use only 1 x 10 gb/s path (for ethernet) ; the path via fabric B would be used, if any device failed on fabric A. On my mind, it is not the best way to use UCS architecture.
- use 2 vNIC : vNIC 0 (fabric A) and vNIC 1 (fabric B) : with this choice, the OS will see the 2 NIC. In my case, the OS is W2K8R2 : how i configure the NIC teaming ?
- another idea ?
Many thank for your advice.
best regards.
Nicolas
